Great things sometimes come in small purchases. In my case, it was a recent trip to Target and Ulta. I picked up my third bottle of Boots Botanics Softening Cleanser. 82% organic with nourishing rosehip oil – my first bottle was purchased in London at a Boots store and to this day, the wonderfully unique scent reminds of my trip. And on a whim, I got a small bottle of Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Castille Soap from the travel section.
I’ve been eyeing the Mineral Fusion nail polishes at Whole foods for a while, so when they were buy one get one free at Ulta, I had to jump at that sale. Brilliant is a wonderful fuschia with a bit of powdered glitter mixed in. Precious Pink is a great creamy nude peach shade for everyday. Nickel and Dime is what I would use for a going out nail color – a beautiful earthy pearl brown and Pink Crush is an iridescent pink.
Here, Brilliant is pictured. This required barely a second coat to achieve a rich color. Nickel and Dime required only two coats to render this beautiful shimmery earth metal brown. Precious Pink needed at least three coats for this wonderfully nude shade, so I suggest perhaps a coat of white nail polish underneath to made it pop. Same goes for Pink Crush, which was so sheer, I had to apply five or so thin coats to get any sort of color to my nail. In all the formulas are smooth, no streaking and dry fairly quickly. Brilliant lasted about a week, which is typical for polish-wear for me.
