I can’t believe June is over. It doesn’t feel like summer quite yet, since the weather has been rather chilly still, though the sun has finally started to shine after weeks of rain. So to me, it feels like a belated spring. My June Favorites consists of my latest discoveries and revisiting a few items in my stash.
L’Oreal’s Caresse Lip Stain in Rose On and On is my favorite lip products. It’s an excellent natural pink for my two-tones lips, giving it uniformity.
E.l.f.’s Bronzer quad is great for beginners in contouring and bronzing. Now that the sun has decided to stay, I’ve added this to my temples and under the cheeks, to give them a slightly sun kissed look. This is a completely buildable product and perfect for the price tag of $3.
Since summer hasn’t quite made it weather-wise, I’ve been painting my nails a natural sheer pink, Essie’s Vanity Fairest. This was the perfect wash of pink for a recent luncheon with a very proper grandmother.
Tarte’s Enchanted is a lip product I’ve rediscovered and loving. Perfectly moisturizing and such a pretty minty stain for the lips. For June, I wore it as my day-time lip color at the office.
Yes to Carrots Nourishing Super Rich Body Butter lives up to its name. It absorbs deep into your skin and hands, eliminating dryness. To me, it smells like cold cream, so I don’t mind it and this small 1 oz. jar lasts a long time – this one has been living in my latest handbag.
The angled blush brush from EcoTools is one of my absolute favorite makeup tools and I could not be without it. The artificial bristles feel incredibly soft, you wouldn’t miss the animal hair. The angle covers the contours of my cheeks perfectly.
Rimmel’s Match Perfection foundation in Light Nude 102 matches my complexion perfectly. This not only contains SPF 18, but it smells pretty and it’s light enough for slight coverage, without feeling heavy. Perfect for the warmer weather.
Nyx’s Rouge Cream Blush in Tickled is a lovely sheer peachy-pink. It creates a glowy look, a great product for cream blush beginners.
And finally, Physician’s Formula 100% Organics mascara in Black is a surprising discovery, since it’s not waterproof at all, but it manages to stay put for most of the day (it starts to smudge at the 7-8 hour mark.) No clumping and no flaking.
If you’ve made it to the end of this post, I thank you for reading! I’m looking forward to finally (hopefully) getting some actual summer weather and brightening up my makeup. July will be my month of really playing with makeup and we’ll see what I come up with!
